The most well known of all tie knots is the Windsor, also called the full Windsor or the double Windsor, named after the Duke of Windsor, who preferred this knot.
It’s a symmetrical triangular knot. In the video, is Art John, showing how to tie it. The best way to practice and master it is in front of the mirror.
However, a Windsor knot is sometimes too wide for a lean and thin set facial structure. The slimmer version of the Windsor knot, the half Windsor, is more suited. So, choose a full Windsor, or a half, in proportion to your jawline, to maximize the impression of the tie.
